I'll let you in on a little secret. Deciding to embark on the adventure of a courtesan is not difficult, at least not for me. After years of burning desire, I had actually made the choice long ago; I just had to wait for the right moment. Deciding on the agency with whom I dared to enter this experience was also not a difficult choice, nor was shopping for a suitable wardrobe for my new secret life, passing on my erotic preferences, and choosing luxury lingerie. No, those choices were all made easily. But when it came time to choose my new name, doubt suddenly struck. What no one tells you about the exciting journey towards becoming a Secret Agent is that the real challenge lies not in the beginning of it, nor in the transformation to your secret persona, but in choosing a suitable alias.
Carmen
Maybe that's a bit on me. I consist of so many different desires and interests and am therefore difficult to capture in one word, let alone in a name. I tried it initially with Carmen. A name that hints at my interest in film, theater, and literature, at my eye for aesthetics and my desire for depth. A name with an artistic edge, a bit like I have myself. But also a name that is very serious. A name in which I miss the humor, the fun, and the party. In short, a name in which that other side of me was missing.
Paloma
I may be 'intellectually curious', but I don't always look for depth, on the contrary. I am also playful, energetic, and (hopefully) funny. I love lightness, glamour, and parties, and especially the intimate variant thereof. And so the choice fell on Paloma. A name that stands for freedom, that fits someone (like me) who likes to surrender to the moment, who sees where she lands. Light and elegant, but with her own direction inside. A bit like that one sparkling pink cocktail with a bittersweet twist... But since that name has been written under my face on the website, something has been wringing. The Spanish sound fits my long dark hair and green eyes, with my desire for freedom and with the sun that always resides within me, and yet it doesn't cover the load, it doesn't tell what I want you to know about me.
Nomi
And so I came to Nomi. That is a bit like Naomi, but written the way I want it. A name that might be difficult to place at first, but if you look it up, turns out to just mean 'joy' or 'darling'. A name, stolen from the cult film Showgirls, that fits someone who loves both depth and surface. But above all, a name that belongs to someone who makes her own choices, even if she sometimes takes a little long to do so.
